I have seen. I'm very much a console guy. I like my gaming device and my work device to be separate devices. Also, I like the uber-realism of SKYRIM and don't see how an MMO maintains that. But if there were ever an MMO to tempt me...
I'm with you, if I have any games on my writing computer, I don't write. Luckily, I have two computers (perks of an IT job). :)
My daughter and wife dominate the console in my house, so PC gaming is really my only option. Also, I have the dexterity of a drunken slug, so playing any kind of first person game on a console is never-ending exercise in 'loading from the last checkpoint.'
The key with MMOs to not play them. One hour is too many, and a thousand never enough. ;)
Ha. I think the perfect game for me wouldn't be an Elder Scrolls MMO so much as a multiplayer option for Skyrim. I'd like to be able to go adventuring with 1-3 other friends, but still feel that our actions had consequence (and we weren't one of a million people in the same server cuing up to perform the same quest).
I would definitely play that game. It would be funny to wind up in a fight with some wizened old shopkeeper and her husband because one of my buddies accidentally slipped a Grand Soul Gem into his pocket.
It would make it much harder to load a save file to cover up your crimes, cause you'd need to convince four others to do the same thing.
Yep. Not much more to say on that subject.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen that they are making an Elderscrolls MMO? I must resist. MMO suck the life out of me.

Let's start a write-in campaign.
