I really don't care for the character Elmo, but I saw the preview for the Being Elmo documentary, and that grabbed my interest. He seems like an interesting guy.
In *my* day, you'd never see the humans attached to Muppets. It was still somehow magical.
The Muppets made an appearance on the recent Saturday Night Live and the puppeteers were on stage with their characters (Kermit! Miss Piggy! Fozzie Bear!) in full view of the audience. Blasphemy! (Though, one could successfully argue, not as tragic as watching Saturday Night Live in the first place...)

Wow, that is really neat! The guy's natural voice and his character's voice are so different...
