Is this a Skyrim inspired quote? ;)

Heh. Whenever I hear someone complain about "gatekeepers" I like to remind them that it should mean something to get inside.

There was a recent study that found that those self-published authors who achieved success were mostly those who had been honing their craft for 10-15 years and that those writers whose manuscripts accrued a large number of rejections from traditional publishing were unlikely to find self-publishing success. Surprise, surprise.

I'd read more of your thoughts on writing, Lou. Do you have a separate site or page for them... or perhaps a whole book of insight?

Hi Madison. Thank you very much. I don't have a dedicated page for such things (yet), but I was a guest on the Writing Excuses podcast talking about story structure. You can find the episode here.

I found that very helpful. Thanks - and I love the podcast format because I can listen while driving to or from work.

Very glad. I was back on two episodes later - though the whole series is very worthwhile.
