John Meaney Done Good

After nagging him about it for-f'ing-ever, I see that the fabulously talented John Meaney finally has a proper blog where people can comment and everything. Please everyone go post a welcome on it. Such smart behavior needs to be encouraged.

You should really visit the InterTubes more often.

Oh, he's had something like a blog for some time now, but his use of blogger is new as of this week.

I stand corrected!

John was impressed when I pointed out to him how many comments the cover of his upcoming Bone Song drew on my own blog, and I said, "Those comments could all be on your blog if your blog could host comments."

It's nearing the point where its easier to track authors who *don't* have blogs than it is to track those who do.

I can't tell you how frustrated I get when I find a new author and then can't find a blog or something. Drives me nuts.

Ditto. But equally frustrating is following a Google Alert about one of my authors to a Blog or LJ account that doesn't have any biographical information about the Blogger on it anywhere, so I have no idea whose opinion I'm reading, no context, no idea who or where they are.

Hey Lou

This new electronic interweb thing is good. Did you say that more than a dozen people have computers now?

Actually, Lou is right. His commands to me about blogging correctly did in fact propagate all the way back to the Big Bang (quote: for-f'ing-ever) and possible kicked the vacuum from its original equilibrium energy, thereby giving rise to the whole of the universe!

All hail Emperor Lou!
