You know what would be nice? A "Stempunk's Starter List" for those of us who haven't read any steampunk but would like to get started.
If you click over to the linked article, there's a link to this:http://www.sflare.com/archives/ten-steampunk-novels-you-ought-to-read/Of which I'm glad to see I've read two of those entries. Actually the whole Galaxy Express article sounds like a nice addition to my to-be-read list.Of course steampunk is the new black. Black goes so well with all the ratchets and gears and dirigibles.
Nick Gevers's Extraordinary Engines anthology and Jeff & Ann Vandermeer's Steampunk would both be good starting places too.
Mr. Anders, thanks so much for linking to my steampunk feature. Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey, good. Now if it'll just stay hot for, say, a year...
My pleasure Heather!Tim - your lips to the steampunk gods ears. And good luck to both of us.Oh, and Ces - I highly recommend adding George Mann's The Affinity Bridge to the list.
